Abram is the founder of NEIH. He started his training at Five Branches University in California and later received his Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest college of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the United States. 

 During his time at New England School of Acupuncture he studied with several renowned acupuncturists, including Ted Kaptchuck, author of the classic text The Web that Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine.

Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where he grew up in an intentional community, Abram completed his undergraduate studies at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. While at Guilford, Abram studied abroad in Beijing and encountered Traditional Chinese Medicine. He later returned to Beijing after school and continued to his studies of Chinese language and culture. 

 He completed advanced training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Zhejiang University of TCM in Hangzhou, China. His training focused on neuromuscular diseases and women’s health.

Abram is an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Herbalist, and uses both needling and Chinese Herbal Medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including:

Pain & Fatigue, including migraines, low back pain, neck pain/mobility, and chronic fatigue

Women’s Health, including menopause, PMS, and infertility

Mental/Emotional Challenges, including anxiety and depression

Digestive disorders, including IBS

Hypertension

Abram also has experience working with children using Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (using GMP compliant and/or organic sources when possible ) to treat asthma, common cold, ADD/ADHD, digestive disorders and pain.

Catherine is an Acupuncturist with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. She has a Diplomate of Acupuncture and is board certified from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. During her time at PCOM she interned at the Chicago Women’s Health Center and the school’s clinic focusing on mental and emotional health, women’s health and pain management.

Since 2017 Catherine has continued to focus on anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress, pain management and women’s health but also considers herself to be a general practitioner. She has treated TBIs, lyme disease, fibromyalgia, digestive disorders, the effects of stroke, POTS, to name a few. She has also taken training for the treatment of trauma/PTSD for individuals and communities from Acupuncturists Without Borders and is also a member. She believes that nutrition is a foundation of health and wants to help every patient find their balance.

Seeing the transformation in patients’ lives while their health improves is one of the many reasons why Catherine loves being an Acupuncturist. Helping patients find a healthy lifestyle in the modern world is an important aspect of her treatments. She feels it is an honor to help others transform and become more of who they really are.

Michael Costantino MAOM Lic. AC. LMT. is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Chinese Herbalist. A native of Abington, Massachusetts, Michael grew up immersed in a family of eleven and developed an early interest in health and fitness. Diagnosed with Lyme disease at thirteen, his illness led to a fascination with the principles of holistic healing and the power of the body to self-heal.

At Spatech Institute he received his Massage License and a strong foundation of body work. He continued his pursuit at the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS, learning about Traditional Chinese Medicine and how it can work with the ever-changing landscape of the body to keep it in a balanced state, able to thrive over the long haul, in any environment. Michael is trained in Chinese, Japanese, and Orthopedic needling techniques along with Chinese Herbal Medicine. He also employs practices such as gua sha, cupping, and qi gong to help direct and communicate with the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Janette is a Licensed and Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist in Massachusetts. Previously she worked in private practice and at Neurosurgical Consultants, Inc., a spine clinic founded by Marc H. Friedberg, M.D.,Ph.D and Michael Gieger, M.D., ABNS in Norwood, MA.

Janette received her master’s degree from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA. During school, she assisted master acupuncturist Kiiko Matsumoto in her clinic and since graduation, she has regularly attended Kiiko’s advanced teaching seminars.

Janette founded Boston Acupuncture Trauma Relief in response to the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. Boston Acupuncture Trauma Relief was a pop-up clinic supported by a network of volunteer acupuncturists committed to providing free-care for any individual affected by the events surrounding the bombing.

Janette earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Studies from Vermont College in Montpelier, VT. During her undergraduate studies she lived in India for a year to study yoga, meditation, ayurvedic medicine and volunteer at the Shakyamuni Buddhist Hospital run by the Root Institute for Wisdom Culture in Bodhgaya, India. Alongside allopathic physicians, naturopaths, and biologists, she worked in the physiotherapy unit with children suffering from extrapulmonary tuberculosis, polio, and cerebral palsy.

Janette is also a certified massage therapist. She received her education from The Mountain Heart School of Bodywork in Crested Butte, CO. She specialized in Therapeutic Neuromuscular Technique and Somatic Mind-body Release in 2001.
